Der einst angesagte Hamburger Club "Kontor" und die musikalische Plattform für Local-DJs wuchs schnell zu der Topadresse für eletronische Tanzmusik. So arbeiten heute internationale Größen wie DJ Antoine, ATB, R.I.O. und Scooter eng mit Kontor Records zusammen. Die „Kontor - Top Of The Clubs" ist hierbei sozusagen die „Mutter der Kontor-Compilations“. Etwa einmal im Quartal legt Kontor mit dieser Reihe seine aktuellen Dance-Tipps in Form von aufwändig und liebevoll gestalteten DJ-Mix-CDs vor und weiß damit jedes Mal auf ein Neues seine Fans in den Bann zu ziehen.
Die erste CD der Volume 64 hat namhafte internationale Künstler im Gepäck: Unter anderem die Single "Dance" von Alexandra Stan, "A Sky Full Of Stars" im Hardwell Remix von Coldplay, "Lay Me Down" von Avicii, "Hystereo" von Armin van Buueren und "No Rest For The Wicked" im Joris Voorn Remix von Lykke Li. Wer auf der Suche nach den neuen Produktionen "Madness" von Cascada, "Netzwerk (Falls Like Rain)" von Klangkarussell sowie "Go With Your Heart" von DJ Antoine vs. Mad Mark feat. Temara Melek & Euro ist, der wird auf der ersten CD des Samplers fündig.
Die zweite CD der Kontor Top Of The Clubs begrüßt gleich zwei Mal Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike mit ihren Produktionen. Zum einen "Tremor" zusammen mit Martin Garrix und zum anderen "Waves" in Zusammenarbeit mit W&W. Internationales Clubfeeling kommt ebenfalls mit Songs wie "Forget" von Patrick Topping, "Lionhearted" von Porter Robinson feat. Urban Cone sowie "Plur Warriors" von Tony Junior and Baggi Begovic auf.
Und auch die dritte CD enttäuscht von der Trackauswahl größtenteils nicht: Deorro feat. DyCy - "Five Hours (Don't Hold Me Back)", Vicetone - "Heat" und Guillaume Delarge & Mat Coast - "Marimba" können hier als positive Vertreter genannt werden. Wer vom Freetrack "Track Three" von twoloud ebenfalls noch nicht genug bekommen hat, der kann sich den Song hier nochmals im Mix gönnen.
Im Vergleich zur Kontor Festival Sounds setzt die neue Kontor Top Of The Clubs hier in erster Linie treffenderweise auf nationale und internationale Club-Sounds. Einige neue Produktionen und eine gelungene Zusammenstellung werten die drei CDs auf, sodass man einen Kauf empfehlen kann.
